We were told that Eric came from the same case as Elizabeth and he was an abused ex-racehorse that was almost starved to death when Riverside county got a hold of him. Not only were these two horses in horrible physical condition but were also in a terrible state of mind due to all of the abuse they suffered over the years. He is now enjoying the retired life at the Golden Carrot, a retirement facility in Anza.
